What does the assessment include?
We visit the areas of concern, take photos and measurements, and describe the observed conditions and any recommendations in writing. The assessment identifies anything that cannot be seen without opening it up.
Do I get a letter or a report?
For most projects, a sealed letter covers the findings and recommendations. If the situation is more involved, we can put together a longer report with photos and recommendations.
Can the recommendations become permit plans?
Yes. If the repair requires permit drawings, we define that scope, prepare the details and calculations, and respond to review comments.
What happens if you find an urgent concern?
If we identify a condition that appears unsafe, we will tell you promptly and explain the recommended next steps. We can document our findings and discuss them with the building official when needed.
